Outdoor First Aid

This 16 hour (2 Day) first aid course provides outdoor instructors with the qualification required to keep NGB awards valid. The course is run by instructors with a mountain rescue background, meaning they have regular hands on experience with a broad variety of emergency care situations, passing on the most current best practices to you. You don’t need to be working in the outdoor industry to benefit from this course; you may be part of a regular walking group or club, or you may just want to enjoy the outdoors with confidence.

First Aid

Having sat through many dull first aid courses ourselves over the years, we strive to keep the content as practical and as realistic as possible. Accidents in the mountains and remote areas often occur when they are least expected, we’ll give you the confidence to leave the course feeling like you are able to deal with any situation you encounter from hands on first aid to multi casualty situations. All core elements of a two day first aid course such as current CPR practice are covered, with an added emphasis on what you are really likely to encounter as an outdoor professional. This qualification is valid for three years.
